Confirmation ClassConfirmation is a church rite, not a “right.” It’s not required. It’s something that we must work, study, and serve in order to accomplish. The world believes that young people cannot memorize and don’t care about religion. At Zion, we believe that our young people want to know about Christ and what He did for us. They appreciate our historic forms of worship and are sometimes more observant about what is going on in church than their parents.

With this in mind, Zion’s Confirmation program centers on Christ and His gifts. We require regular attendance in church, Sunday School, and Confirmation Class, memorizization of the Small Catechism, and service in our congregation and community.  We take our young people’s confirmation seriously. If you are interested in having your child confirmed, please contact us.

But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

- 2 Timothy 3:14-15
