Angie Imlah (Miss Angie)-Morning Preschool
Miss Angie is in her second year teaching at Zion Lutheran School. Before becoming a teacher, she spent many years working with children while substitute teaching, babysitting, and being a Girl Scout leader. Miss Angie earned her Bachelor's degree at APU and has lived in McHenry most of her life.
Miss Angie finds joy in her classroom. "I love teaching preschool. Watching children explore, learn, and grow every day is such a blessing."
Miss Angie keeps herself busy with her 3 children, their sports, and Girl Scouts.
Donna Wilke (Miss Donna)- Pre K
Miss Donna has been teaching preschool at Zion for 18 years. She began at Zion teaching the 3 & 4 year old classes and has been teaching PreK for 5 years. Miss Donna earned her degree at Northeastern Illinois University.
Miss Donna loves the career path she chose. "I love working with young children because they learn so much so quickly. My philosophy is to have a structured learning environment with opportunities for play-based learning activities as well."
Miss Donna has lived in McHenry over 30 years and enjoys spending time with her family.
Joanne Kushman (Mrs. Joanne)- Pre K
Mrs. Joanne is in her first year of being a full time teacher at Zion. She was a sub in years prior and taught Kindergarten and first grade for many years in District 45 before she stayed home to raise her children. She earned her degree at Eastern Illinois University.
Mrs. Joanne loves watching each of the children grow and become confident as they discover their identities. She believes every child should be valued and treated with respect.
Mrs. Joanne has lived in McHenry since 2004 with her husband, 2 children, and dog. When she is not at school, she is busy taking her children to their activities and sports, reading, and crocheting.
Mrs. Hach is in her first year at Zion but has been teaching since 2009. Before joining Zion's staff, Mrs. Hach taught in Johnsburg. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Northern Illinois University.
Mrs. Hach has a passion for teaching and for learning. "I have always had a firm belief in being a lifelong learner, and I hope to pass this on to your child as well. I am absolutely dedicated to giving my students the best possible education experience."
We are blessed to have Mrs. Hach as an addition to our staff..
