Email News for May 25, 2018

Dear Members and Friends of Zion,

This weekend we celebrate the festival of the Holy Trinity. The word “Trinity” is not in the Bible but it’s a word we use to describe what the Bible teaches: There is ONE God who exists in Three Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. That’s not just abstract theology. That’s the Name into which we’re baptized and saved! Join us as we confess the faith of the Christian church through the ages.

Although not quite their last Sunday, we’ll be having a potluck Farewell lunch for the Borghardt Family (Amy, George, Thomas, and Sophia). Please bring a dish to share. The meal is following worship (no Learning the Faith this Week).

Next week, Learning the Faith (all ages) will resume after worship. We’ll continue to meet throughout the summer. No taking time off from learning God’s Word! We’ll also be adding another Bible Study opportunity at 8am next Sunday. There’s always more of God’s Word to learn!

Finally, make sure to make your calendars or Vacation Bible School June 18-22. You can find out more and even register children online via our website at THIS LINK.

See you in the Divine Service this weekend!

In Christ, Pastor Buetow
