Dear Members and Friends of Zion,
The Holy Spirit comes on Pentecost! Rushing wind! Tongues of fire! What’s the Holy Spirit up to? All that and the Apostle preaches Christ crucified and risen for sinners. Join us this weekend as we celebrate all of Jesus’ gifts in the B.A.G.S.: Baptism, Absolution, the Gospel, and the Supper.
This Sunday we rejoice in the Confirmation of Lilly and Ella. What’s really neat about this day is that they will receive Christ’s body and blood for the forgiveness of sins for the first time. May it be a lifelong blessing to them! Please remember them in your prayers as they continue to learn and grow in the faith!
Sunday is also our Annual Spring Voters Meeting. It will take place after church about 10:30 (please note there is no Learning the Faith this week). We have elections, approval of the budget, and pastor’s call on the agenda. This is an important meeting as we look forward to the Lord’s work at Zion. Please plan to be in attendance!
Don’t forget next Sunday, May 27, following the service, we’ll have a potluck farewell for the Borghardt family. Please plan on bringing a dish to share.
The Spirit is moving at Zion…because we’re hearing Jesus preached and receiving His gifts!
