ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH

Friday, August 2, 2019

Dear Members and Friends of Zion,

Even though Jesus had fed 5,000 people once, it didn’t somehow occur to His disciples that He could feed 4,000 too. But He did. The Lord provides daily bread but more than that, forgiveness, life, and salvation. We’ll hear about it as we celebrate the Seventh Sunday after Trinity this weekend.

Thank you to Pastor Gary Peterson of Wonder Lake who is covering for me in my absence this weekend. Reminder that there is NO 8am Bible Study, Learning the Faith after church, or Tuesday Bible Study this week. I’ll be back Wednesday and our schedule will return to normal. (Remember: No service this Wednesday, though).

We still have openings in the SCHOOL for morning half day Preschool (3 and 4 year olds) and we have plenty of room for Kindergarteners and First Graders. Tell everyone you know what a great and Christ-centered education children can receive at Zion!

Jesus had compassion on the people. After all it was because of Him that they were out there and needed to eat. So He took care of it. That’s how God always cares for us: Through His Son.

Blessings on your worship this weekend and receiving Jesus’ gifts.

See you next week!

In Christ, Pastor Buetow
